I recently enjoyed a charming getaway at Maison Du Magnolia Bed & Breakfast in Confolens, nestled alongside the river. As a wildlife conservationist from Sydney, I often seek unique experiences, and this lovely French property did not disappoint. Davina, the warm-hearted host, swiftly made us feel at home upon arrival, especially after a long day of travel. She prepared a delightful three-course dinner tailored to our vegan preferences, which made me appreciate her culinary creativity. The ambiance of the old house, filled with character and local art, set a perfect backdrop for the meal. Breakfast the next morning was abundant, offering an array of choices that catered to everyone’s tastes. It was the ideal way to fuel up before exploring local eateries like Logis Hotel Emeraude, where I savored a delicious duck dish the night before. Maison Du Magnolia is a delightful retreat for food lovers and travelers alike. I hope to return soon!
